Guitar Cake using Homemade Chocolate Cake Premix|Lockdown Birthday Cake|#StayHome & Cook #WithMe

Hey Foodies,

Welcome to Nicely Spicy-So Tasty So Yummy so Easy. Today I am sharing my son's 15th Birthday Cake using the Chocolate Cake Premix recipe (https://youtu.be/eZk8qARH_4w) I had shared earlier. Birthdays are to be celebrated be it #Lockdown or #Quarantine especially when it is your only son's 15th Birthday. I surprised him with this Guitar Cake as it turned out to be more decadent than I imagined. On this happy occasion, I take this opportunity to pray for all of us to overcome this crisis safely with our loved ones. #StaySafe.

Now on to the cake... Perfect for birthdays, this is a fool-proof & really easy chocolate cake recipe & makes a rich & moist chocolate cake. It takes only few minutes to prepare the batter because of the cake premix as you don't have to measure & sift various dry ingredients. Only the liquid ingredients are mixed & added to cake premix thus, cutting the preparation time into half. I have used the full recipe of Cake Premix which makes a huge more than 1.5 kg cake. If you are hosting a party this cake will be enough to feed the crowd. Else, you can store in refrigerator for 4-5 days.

You won't find a better One-Bowl Chocolate Cake recipe than this one. You will be amazed at how good it is. With super moist crumb & fudgy yet light texture, this perfect Chocolicious Chocolate Cake will be your favorite. Your search will end for Best Chocolate Cake Recipe as the cake's crumb is perfect for stacking & carving too.

I have prepared this cake as Sheet Cake but you can make layer cakes or cupcakes. This recipe can be used to make Devil's Food Cake, Black Forest Cake, etc. I had limited ingredients with me so I frosted the cake with Dark & White Chocolate Ganache. Watch this space for recipes. Pour it over the cake & you have perfect shiny coating for your cake.

Recipe Card:

Ingredients:

Chocolate Cake Premix 1 recipe

1 & 1/4 cup Milk/Dudh

4 Eggs/Ande

1/2 cup Butter/Makkhan

1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Method:

1. Preheat oven @ 180 C for 15 minutes.

2. All ingredients should be at room temperature as they bind together easily & quickly. This prevents over-mixing as cold ingredients do not emulsify.

3. Beat or whisk Milk, Eggs, Butter & Vanilla Essence for 2-3 minutes.

4. Beat again till homogeneous mixture is formed.

5. Repeat scraping & beating steps.

6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour the cake batter evenly in the pan.

7. Tilt the cake pan to spread the cake batter evenly. Tap the cake pan few times to remove air bubbles

8. Bake @ 180 C for 30-35 minutes.

9. Check for doneness with toothpick. A clean toothpick means cake is done.

10. If some batter is stuck on toothpick, then the cake needs few more minutes in the oven.

11. Allow the cake to cool completely in pan. If the cake has not cooled completely,

decorating it will be a complete disaster. Be patient.

12. Release the sides of cake with a knife. Cake is baked flat perfectly, so no need to level it

13. Demould the cake onto a tray. Remove the parchment paper & keep aside.

14. I have transferred the cake to the same baking tray for carving the shape of guitar.

15. You can find template for Guitar Cake on Internet for free. I printed it and pasted it to

chart paper for more sturdiness . Place the template on cake as shown. Start carving along the sides of the template. Remove the excess cake (either eat it or make delicious Cake Pops)

16. Arrange the cake parts as shown. Chill the cake for 30 minutes before decorating.

17. Insert the used parchment paper pieces under the cake to collect the cake crumbs or spills while decorating.

18. You can bake the cake the previous day and then decorate it the next day. This helps to develop flavor & the cold cake is easier to handle while decorating.

19. For Frosting, I am using Dark & White Chocolate Ganache. Stay tuned for Ganache recipes. Repeat with White Chocolate Ganache.

20. Your homemade Guitar Cake is ready
