INSTANT HOMEMADE MAWA / KHOVA IN 10 MINS for delicious sweets in #lockdown होममेड मावा / खोवा / खवा



Hey Foodies, Welcome back to Nicely Spicy -So Yummy So Tasty So Easy. Today's recipe is Instant Homemade Mawa or Khoya or Khava in just 10 minutes. With 5 ingredients & 10 minutes of your undivided attention, you will get Fresh Unadulterated Homemade mawa, free from additives & chemicals. Homemade Mawa can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or freezed for up to 2 months.


Traditionally, full-fat milk with sugar is reduced on heat till all the liquid is evaporated. It is a very time-consuming & labor-intensive process This method gives you chikna variety of mawa which can be used for preparing delicious Indian Desserts like Gajar ka Halwa, Dudhi ka Halwa, Gulab Jamun, Milk Peda, Mawa Gujiya, Kala Jamun, Lavang Latika, Barfi, Rabdi or Basundi, Mawa Cake and one of my popular recipe Rainbow Modak. Mawa is used in some savoury dishes like Kaju Khoya Matar Curry, Nawabi Kesar Kofta, Khoya Makhana as well. .

Recipe Card:

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 300-350 gms (approx.)


Ingredients:

1/2 cup Ghee/Tup

1/2 cup Milk/Dudh

1/2 cup Sugar/Shakkar

2 1/2 cup Milk Powder


Method:

1. Heat Ghee in a deep & thick bottomed pan.

2. Add milk & sugar and stir till ghee melts.

3. Add milk powder & stir till no lumps are found.

4. Stir continuously on low flame for 7-8 minutes.

5. Mawa is ready when it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
