Prawns Koliwada | Jhinga Fry | Spricy Prawns Fry | Fried Prawns Recipe | Monsoon Recipes



Hey Foodies, Welcome back to Nicely Spicy -So Tasty So Yummy So Easy. Today's recipe is Prawns Koliwada, made with spicy batter fried prawns, a perfect dish when you are craving something hot & spicy. What else do you crave in Rainy Season.


Monsoon signifies the brightest hues, tantalising aromas and fried food cravings. It is a pure pleasure to gorge on some tasty hot snacks along with a cup of hot coffee or tea on a rainy day, peppy music playing or a romantic novel to read or binge-watch your favorite series. I love Monsoon the most as it perfect time to curl up on your couch & #StayHome. It brings a sigh of relief after a sweltering Indian Summer, a breath of earthy fragrant air. Monsoon signifies the brightest hues, spellbinding aromas and fried food cravings.


RECIPE CARD:

Prep Time: 35 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 3-4

INGREDIENTS:

250 G (14-15 medium sized) Prawns/Jinga/Kolambi

2 tsp Ginger-Garlic/Adrak-Lehsan Paste

Salt/Namak as per taste

1/4 tsp Turmeric/Haldi Powder

1 tsp Red Chilli/Lal Mirch Powder

1/2 tsp Black Pepper/Kali Mirch Powder

1 tbsp Garam Masala or Prawns Masala

2 tbsp Cornflour

1 tbsp Rice flour/Chawal ka Atta

2 tbsp Curds/Dahi

1/4 cup Water/Pani


METHOD:

1.Clean, devein & wash Prawns.

2. Add all the ingredients except oil & mix well.

3. Marinate for 30 minutes.

4. Deep fry in hot oil.

5. Fry the Prawns in batches. Don't overcrowd the pan with Prawns, otherwise the Prawns will cook from outside only

6. Ensure Prawns cooks from inside as well.

7. Drain on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

8. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup & Green Chutney.
